ABOUT US
Filter It Out was founded by Hywel Phillips. A service engineer with over 25 years experience working with, installing and supplying water systems for farms, caravan parks, golf courses, commercial and domestic settings. Hywel set up the business in 2012 after the previous company he worked for folded and he saw enough of a call for his line of work to go it alone. However, 3 years into the business Filter It Out suffered a major blow and almost lost everything Hywel had built due to a fire at an adjoining unit to the business. With the help and support of family, friends and customers, Hywel rebuilt Filter It Out into the expanding business it is today.
Filter It Out has gone from strength to strength with Hywel taking on staff to help with the workload and the ever increasing demand for his services. Hywel continues to gain recognition for his professional and practical work that his 20+ years has given him by being a finalist at the Pembrokeshire Business Awards 2018, Winning a Pembrokeshire Business Award 2019 and more recently Winning FSB Self-employed/Sole Trader of the Year (Wales) 2020.
Hywel Phillips is a hard worker and a keen engineer. Over the years he has bought and developed machinery by designing and creating adaptors to make light work of installations and services. Videos of these can be seen on our gallery page. Filter It Out offer a range of services from brand new water pump and system installations to the maintenance of existing ones.
Alongside offering bespoke design solutions tailored to your property needs, Filter It Out can also detect, diagnose and provide quality, affordable solutions for your system.
Recently we have begun to offer a leak detection service with some great results in sourcing and fixing any issues quickly.

Founder, engineer... THE BOSS!
Hywel has over 25 years experience in the field. Never to be found in the office, like the true engineer he is, Hywel is out on site working, designing and installing water and filtration systems. When not out on site he can be found in the workshop designing and creating adaptations to his machinery to make his work as efficient as possible.
Hywel is a proud vintage tractor owner and a member of the local vintage machinery club. When not working or designing he enjoys going on tractor runs and gatherings in the local area.

Christine, Hywel's daughter, has been working in the business since the beginning, but only within the last 4 years she has become a more established part time administrator dealing with almost all aspects of the paperwork.
Christine also works at the local school and in her spare time enjoys keeping active and spending time with her 2 boys.
